Etiquette. This league is the most friendly that I have played in and whilst I expect it to be competitive, I expect things to be conducted in the best spirit. Sandwiches/food are normally provided by the home team at their expense and put out after the 5th frame. A raffle or football card normally sponsors this. It is the home teams responsibility to pay for the table, which would be expected to be in a playable condition.
Start Time. 8pm on Wednesdays. There has always been a rule that should a team be late, then a frame can be claimed for every 15 minutes that they are late. I would expect teams to be on time as far as possible and be excused should captains notify of any delay. This has never been claimed and I don’t want people to start now. Please be tolerant.
Refereeing. Home team to ref the first leg and then alternate legs with the away team. The referee will toss a coin to establish break in each frame, offering choice to the opposing player.
Doubles. Concerns regarding doubles are, a) the time allowed for players to discuss shots PRIOR to first visit. And b) Coaching. Please see rules page.
KO’s. As far as arranging singles/doubles ko matches is concerned, ample time is allotted to complete fixtures. It is both players responsibility to try and arrange the match. With that in mind, unless there is a very good excuse, if the match hasn’t been played or conceded, then both players are scratched from the competition.
Results sheets should be completed, signed by the captain or representative and returned to me at the next meeting. In any case, I would like the results texting to me if you can. That way I can keep the website up to date. For up to the minute league information go to dinno.leaguerepublic.com
Re-arranged fixtures. There will come a time when a fixture has to be re-arranged, through no-ones fault. I ask that you tell the opposing Captain as soon as you are able. If you cancel on the day of the match you may be asked for the price of the food that has been prepared if you are the away team. Please re-arrange fixtures as soon as possible in order to ensure the smooth running of the league.
