6/9/09- The first loss of the season. 3-6 down at half time and not playing our best. The end result was 8-10, but I felt that the scoreline flattered us somewhat. The Glen McKay man of the match went Ian Bradley who played hard and well, getting two well deserved frames uner his belt. MoM runner up was El Tel who broke and dished in the first frame to keep us in the match.
16/7/09- Another drawn match. Highlights were lanky playing superbly to win 2 frames. Another McKay man of the match for the big lad. Otherwise there was some indifferent match play. McKay MoM runner up goes to me(Vince) for an outstanding dish from a dry break. If I say so myself.
30/6/09- Away match to Davy Lamp A who have drawn every match this season. This match was to be no exception and saw us drop our first point. Most players just won on frame, with the exception of me(accidentally potting the black and then my opponent leathering another black round the table and going in another bag.) Glen McKay man of the match went to Ben Clayton. Only player to win both frames and had no right to be in the 2nd frame when his opponent covered several bags. He dug in and turned it round. Just what we needed in a tough match.
14/6/09- Whislt coming 4th in the KO comp, I would hope that we've done enough to qualify for the finals in October. Individual results below.

Glen McKay man of the match was awarded to Malc Kelwick to played exceptionally well. He did well, as in 7 frames I won 4 in my first visit and never got a shot in one frame. I'll give myself the runner up spot.
24/5/09- Played at home to New Mills from Whaley Bridge. Nice set of fellas, who are new to World Rules. We beat them decisively 14-4 to remain at the top of Derbyshire Interleague and still unbeaten. The team played very well and it was clear that each frame was being battled for, which is a sign that the squad is strong. No-one wants to be dropped and there is no margin for error.
Steve Beech and Ben Clayton won their debut frames for us. Difficult to choose, but the "McKay" man of the match was awarded to Kev Grice. Played well to win his first frame and had no right to be in the second frame, but dig in like an Alabamha Tick to pinch it.
23/3/09- Our 3rd Interleague match, away to Derby Licenced Premises. Played at Rileys in Derby, the table was spot on and the hospitality excellent.
Glen McKay started with a break and dish in the first frame. His opponent rightly pointed out, that he hadn't done anything wrong. I corrected him, by saying that his handshake could have been a bit firmer. He took it in the right spirit.
Singo, Carzy, Terry, Bruno Brunt & Lanky continued the run as we went 6-0 up. A whitewash was on the cards. Then, the Badgers turn. Up I stepped, against a 15yr old version of Lester Piggott. You've guessed it. I lost. And the collapse started. We lost 7 frames and were only 8-7 up. But the spine was intact and we won the next 3 frames to run out 7-11 winners.
The Glen McKay man of the match, was awarded to Mark Lancashire for 2 tidy frames, which included nailing a superb tough black in his first frame.
Newcomer, Mark Towers won his first frame for the team and we are still unbeaten in the league.
7/3/09- Dinnington 12 Ilkeston 6.
We went 2-0 up, then lost the next 4 frames to go 2-4 down. The Ilkeston lads took some monster dishes out and we were going from "Can't lose", to "Oops, lost."
Shared the next 2, then won 7 on the bounce to win the match.
Thoroughly good set of lads and enjoyed their company. Looking forward to seeing them at Yarmouth.
The McKay man of the match award goes to "The Ginger Wizard" McKay himself. Won 2 frames that he had no right to be in. (nominated by The Badger)
Singo was the MoM runner up. Just for being very classy in his finishes.
Finish of the match was Jimmy "Foul Snooker" Winsboroughs. Absolutely rude.
Match report for the Q Club V Dinno match. Burton on Trent. 8/2/09
Never met any of the Q club team before, but they were very welcoming and the tables were very good. Level with accomodating bags. And there's nothing finer than accomodating bags. The opposition looked well in their new red shirts and our scruffy bunch seemed a bit intimidated as Q Club raced into a 6-2 lead. We were under pressure and made a couple of changes for the 2nd half. 9 winning frames on the bounce and we lost the last frame, to run out 7-11 winners. They were very loud when they were winning, but not quite so when they got a portion.
THEY DON'T LIKE IT UP 'EM CAPTAIN MAINWARING.
Glen McKay man of the match was awarded to me. For an outstanding dish from a dry break and sticking a large one up a youth that he didn't see coming.
